Light rain so far...NWS hourly projections only have about half an inch of rain between now and the end of the game. The field drains well and shouldn't be in too bad of shape.

Was hoping they would move to Saturday night so I could make it.

If I had to play on a grass field then Somerset would be on my short list. When I went to game there a couple of years ago I was upset I did not have my putter with me. It's that nice. I think they go to great lengths to maintain that field so if the drainage can take away the rain at nearly the same pace it comes down then it should be fine. There is something though bout taking a shower with your muddy uniform still on.

Anything could happen in this one. Grass field that will probably be swamp like condition no matter how good it is with all the expected rain. It could be a good experience for both teams playing in these conditions in case they face anything similar later in the playoffs when the games really matter.

 

Have to agree. On a turf field I think BW runs away. On a rainy night and a muddy track.... could be a different story. I still think BW wins, but only by 10-14 pts. Probably going to see a healthy dose of Derry running inside the tackles.

I'll take the Beechies by 21.

One real hard (but brief) downpour so far today, the field should be in really good shape as of now.

 

 

Checking the RADAR and it looks like Somerset will miss the heavy rain for at least the next few hours. Some light rain but nothing that should impact the game.

Man, I would NOT want to be Somerset's linebacking crew having to deal with Josh Derry in these conditions. Somerset faithful, just wait til you see how this young man explodes into opposing defenses.

 

Gonna guess Beechwood wins 28-7.

Also, FYI, for those of you unaware, Beechwood now has its own radio network! The Beechwood Internet Radio Network will be up and running next Friday night as the Tigers will host Corbin.
