August 25, 20179 yr Author EKU really that bad? I know WKU is really good. But that much better? I think EKU was picked next to last in the OVC? The OVC is a really bad FCS conference as is. I think most sites have WKU as a top 40 team in 2017. Likely a 10 win team. Who knows in rivalry games, though. I know the EKU players will be pumped up, who knows if WKU will be though. Remember EKU choked at the last minute to lose to UK just like two years ago. Anything can happen!

WKU has the capability to stream on ESPN3 if they want via the satellite network that we have. I think they just didn't want people to have the excuse to stay home. We have a good size fanbase, just very fickle. TV is one more reason people will use to not show up on labor day weekend. EKU fans, any idea how well you will travel? I've been very disappointed in the traveling quality of teams we have played over the years. Vanderbilt last year maybe brought a thousand after we brought a good 15k to them the year before. UK fans barely outdrew us in Nashville in 2013. MTSU has traveled poorly. I think the only sizable away crowds I've seen are the 2015 season finale vs Marshall and the subsequent CCG vs Southern Miss. I have high hopes EKU will bring a good crowd. I know the students at EKU seem to be buzzing a bit on twitter.
August 31, 20179 yr EKU also plays Kentucky the Following Week... Might be a bad start for Eastern... They also play Western in Hoops this year, might have to go see the "Jake" in that one
