I'll be honest I'm very skeptical. I've just looked at some third party genealogy results that show them as sisters and "Crystal" and Loretta being natural born sisters.

I personally never said that they did.

 

I do know that they have sold out MSG, but if is was a multi-date engagement I don't know. I was responding to Jim saying that they did, assuming I guess, that he knew.

 

Honestly this isn't about me trying to say "Neener neener... I know something that you don't"

 

Initially, I early in this thread presented focus on Jim James and My Morning Jacket and their fame considering that the topic is related to famous Kentuckians in the music industry, and because a handful of you were relatively unaware of said band and their leader, instead of accepting this, and then perhaps being appreciative that you now were aware of something regarding famous musicians from this proud state of Kentucky, you guys sought rather to expand on something that you know little about as if you do in an effort to make mockery of what I've presented.

 

Because I'm confident in my claims, and not too keen on tactics of those intending to discredit me (for whatever are the reasons I'm a target for such things), I continued to present, post after post, that which even more so validated that which I had originally said, and rather come around to standing down from whatever it is that will keep fueling the ego, there are still continued efforts to take the perception back to the beginning of this discussion, (where that was more fun for some I suppose), than to acknowledge relevant info that could help you learn more about their success than you had previously known.

 

I'm not out to win anything nor is this a competition (at least not for me that is), I set out merely to inform.

 

Some set out merely to discredit, and the more they realized that there was much that they really didn't know, I suppose it was a shot to their ego, and instead of recognizing this for what is was, it was easier to do whatever possible with desperate hopes to nullify and void their initial mistaken perception, and most of all, god forbid, acknowledge that perhaps my claim that MMJ were famous is a valid one.

 

I've no problem with folks having a mistaken perception, it is what it is.

 

It's rather the way one sees fit to handle this realization, and I suppose that might be an assortment of different ways depending on how different people roll.

Their website only list playing MSG twice according to their set list they have posted from every concert, once in 2008 and once in 2011. They did sell out the 3000 seat Terminal 5, 5 nights in a row in NYC once.

 

I get it, in a small segment they are popular. To that segment they are wildly popular, but as a whole very few people have ever heard of them.

 

Kinda like to a certain segment Carlos Hathcock, Chuck Mawhinney, Vasily Zaytsev and Rob Furlong are wildly popular and well known, yet outside of that very small segment many would have no idea who they are...therefore as a whole they aren't wildly popular or widely well known.

What about Richmond's Exile? JP Pennington?
