He's been at high school gym shooting around tonight and seeing his classes. He's Been in California recently for basketball related things

Yup. Caverna scored 80+ on them. Twice.

And what did they score on Caverna in those two games???Like 110 or something! and I think they also held them to 46 one game while scoring 87.I mean if a high school team score 110 they are giving the ball back a lot! LOL!!

If you like watching ball like what LaVar Ball's kids do in HS, great. But that kind of play will not win you championships. There is absolutely no reason that a team such as Caverna should've scored 80+ points two times on an alleged region championship contender. Play some D.

The problem with Adair is they weren't No. 1 in the nation and stocked with D-I players last year. And as a result they didn't even make it to state. Coach Breeze would be wise to stress defense this year instead of trying to score 100ppg. Unless they don't care if they win the region.

I don't know enough about Adair County to know what they emphasize one way or another. I was referring more to the fact that you said LaVar Ball brand of basketball doesn't win championship. I was making the point of yes they did have D1 talent but the D1 talent was developed by LaVar and his brand of basketball and electing to send them to a public high school with no tradition.

 

If you are good enough at your brand of basketball, football, tiddlie winks etc you can championships.

"Lavar Brand of Basketball" wouldn't have let a less talented Taylor County beat them when it mattered most. Yes , everyone loves to watch that brand but what wins it in the end is playing both sides of the ball. I think Adair will score the ball against some lower .500 teams.. but unless they have a tremendous off season with development I do believe the better region/ state teams beat them. Last year Adair team was talented 1-5 so they could play faster to do those things. I don't believe they can play that fast this year to score 80+ points a game

The point guard for Taylor County last year was the best player in the regional tournament. He single handily willed them to a win against Bardstown in that 4th quarter.

 

Scoring 80 a game in high school is a lot, only team in the 5th i seeing able to put up those type of numbers is John Hardin. The Bulldogs have three guys capable of scoring 20-25 a night plus enough garbage men around them to add bonus points.

Maze Stallworth deserves a ton of credit too for last years run. He has took his last two teams to region finals when they wasn't expected to at all.

They will have a talented team but they don't shoot the ball near as good as Adair County did last year. Yes Ezra Oliver had a good regional tourney, BUT what Taylor County showed was toughness and found ways to win it all when it showed most. The region should be a fun one to watch this year, I hope we have some teams that do well statewide.
