September 27, 200619 yr The Bengals were notified today by the NFL that LB Odell Thurman's current four-game suspension has been extended to one year for violating the NFL Substance Abuse Policy. Thurman is eligible to apply for reinstatement prior to next season. The NFL Substance Abuse Policy stipulates that it is a violation of the program should a player "fail to cooperate with testing, treatment, evaluation or other requirements imposed on him by this policy or fails to comply with his treatment plan."

September 28, 200619 yr Thank God your not Marvin. I don't want to be Marvin...but I'll take an ego like TO's over a rap sheet like Odell's any day. Also, if I were Marvin, I wouldn't be paying lip service every time a player breaks the law...especially on recurring instances. I love Marvin to death but he needs to drop the whole "character first" shpiel.
