mcpapa
Do you really want me to put 12 "hair-bands" on this list? LOL No. Sooner or later you're gonna have to get to Warrant or Winger; and that could result in the loss of your posting privileges.
Lil Sebastian
Someday you'll have to clue us in on the personal significance of banana pancakes. Inquiring minds want to know. Haha Jack Johnson may not be everyone's cup of tea, but surely you can see how the idea of spending all day in bed with your significant other could be appealing. No need for any more details than that

He was also a drunkard who hung out in the Irish Pub where my parents met at 6th & Main in Covington which is now home of the English Pub - C&B. My favorite version of the song is Aretha Franklin's 1962 cover. She really gets to the heart of the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTgkAzbXQqU

oldgrappler
A little piece of trivia: "That Lucky Old Sun" was written by Covington, Ky native Haven Gillespie (1888-1975) who also wrote "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town". He was also a drunkard who hung out in the Irish Pub where my parents met at 6th & Main in Covington which is now home of the English Pub - C&B. My favorite version of the song is Aretha Franklin's 1962 cover. She really gets to the heart of the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTgkAzbXQqU I had no idea about the origin of the song. Very cool. On almost any song Aretha sings, her version will be the preferred--very rare artist. What I like about Crossroads is that they are amateurs. They all hold jobs and sing as a hobby. The Bass singer also directs a 130 member Barbershop chorus in St. Charles, Mo--the Ambassadors of Harmony. The Barbershop Harmony Society gives men an avenue to continue singing as a hobby beyond High School and College (women sing in SAI and Harmony Inc.). And as Crossroads demonstrates, provides the opportunity for coaching and competition as a means to achieve at a high level. I participated in a quartet that competed on a regional level and enjoyed the challenge and opportunity for improvement. There's nothing like standing 4 feet in front of a coach, singing through a song, then having him stop the song and begin to critique your efforts over and over again. It is humbling. The foursomes who medal at the International competition each year are truly awesome, though, they are regular guys... teachers, engineers, salesmen, construction workers, etc. The week of July 4 is when the competition occurs each year. This year it is in Vegas. And it is an International competition. Winners have been from Sweden and New Zealand, as well as the US and Canada.
