A lot going on here...what is the significance of this particular photo on this day?

 

I'll admit I googled the details. Obviously it's Air Force 1 landing during a race that Richard Petty was in, probably the Daytona 500 based on the landscape visible. That much I figured out on my own. I'll not tell the details I found on Google.

It was at Daytona but it was the July race not the 500. There is also one more major point about this race that makes this photo cooler.

I figured you would nail that one. Yeah, if you like a climate that rains sulfuric acid, you'll love it!

From 10,000 ft. , our sister planet doesn't look so inhospitable. But on the surface temps in excess of 900F and pressures > 90 times that on Earth. You'll be baked, corroded, and crushed. Sounds wonderful.
