Not a lot to say about this one. Raceland clearly outmanned Berea in all areas. A down side for Racealnd is that they had a lot of what I call "stupid" penalties- personal fouls, late hit, block in the back,etc.. Rams have a week off now before going into Owingsville and Bath Co. for a HUGE district game.I belive that Grizzle had 5 td passes and ran one in for another one. Large had a td receptions, Beach has 2 td receptions, Mullins a td reception and Kelly a td in this one. Way to Go Rams!!!! Now lets get ready for Bath County.

I just heard that LCA defeated Bath Co. 33-8. can anyone confirm a Fairview/Paris score? Paris was leading big late in the game I think.

Dont have a final score but last we heard it was Paris 22/ Fairview 16

Fairview 22 aris 40

Just curious but was this game at Berea? If it was did it rain because viewing the skys at Rockcastle it looked nasty that way yet it didn't rain a drop at the game in Rockcastle.

Game was at Raceland in rainy conditions. The rain cleared at half-time. Conditions were extremely wet on the field.

Nice win for the Rams! Grizz looked sharp tonight spreading the wealth to several receivers. Line blocking was great and the defense was very aggressive. One down side to the game was as Oldrambler mentioned, to many penalties. I am sure the coaches were not happy with the penalties and will begin work to correct them on Monday. Everyone played as most Freshman played the entire 2nd half.

Hats off to the kids from Berea!! They never quit and gave everything they had the entire game. You guys showed a lot of heart and have my respect.:thumb:

I also want to say a big thank you to Fairview head football coach Chad Tackett. On his post game radio show after their game with Paris coach Tackett spoke highly of Raceland QB Scott Grizzle. He mentioned Grizzle as one of the better QB's in the state and complimented him on his ability to run the spread offense. Coach Tackett you showed a lot of class with your comments and I as a Ram fan appreciate it as I am sure others do as well.

I agree cville, the Radio people said that Berea only dressed 23 kids. I hate to see a program go down like that. I understand that about all they care about at Berea anymore is soccer:madman:(I hate soccer) and can't get the kids they have out for football. It was very good that all played tonight for the Rams with the Freshmen and j.v. playing the entire 2nd half. This will be great experience for them and no reason to risk injury to a front line starter in a game that was clearly out of hand and decided plus not wanting to run the score up even more than we could keep from.Imo Raceland could have easily put 80 - 100 pts. on the board even with the running clock if Coach Vanderhoof would had wanted to.

Congrats Raceland Rams!

You now have two weeks to prepare for Bath County - a MUCH improved team from years past!

#3 is a real hard-nosed kid - played injured for half the game tonite agianst LCA, but stayed out there and kept on playing. They have a nice ballclub and should be a good matchup for the Rams in two weeks.

I will also give a :thumb: to coach Tackett and appreciate the compliments. All of those compliments may be an early way of him pulling a "Pumphrey" on the Rams though.:sssh:

Thanks!! As you said Bath is improved and the Stevens kid is the real deal. It will be a test for the Rams and having two weeks to prepare will allow the Rams to fix some things.

Cvillecat! You need to keep your phone on during the games!

I tried calling you several times to check on you guys tonite...

I even texted you!
