I went to a WKU football game in 2015 and there were no metal detectors. My bigger point is we make laws and expect people follow them. There are punishments in place when they break those laws.

Again, I'm not sure where I stand on this. But I will say I normally lean to the rights of individuals side of things. And I really don't like to wait until something is needed to do it. No one ever walked into a crowded theater and shot up the place and until somebody did.

But are you using the same logic to keep them out? And I wouldn't think every where. Again I just tend to allow law abiding citizens their rights.

Let me explain. If the Government can nearly insure our safety, for example in a Courthouse with multiple armed Officers, then I think it is permissible for the Government to require everyone to disarm. However, in any public place where the Government cannot insure our safety I believe we should be able to carry a concealed weapon there for our personal protection.

 

I actually agree with you in theory, but the reality scares me a bit. I love watching old western movies where everyone carries a gun and it is just a way of life. In my heart I believe there is nothing wrong with that, but I am afraid of the idiot carnage that might occur in this day and age.

You are 100% correct because you have to react to the action, thats why they are terrorist/criminals.

 

But its a guarantee that no one can stop the terrorist/criminals if they dont have a weapon.
