It's mind-boggling to me that there are people that think it's a good idea.....Well, then I look at who's saying it should be allowed and it all makes perfect sense. :lol2:

Mostly.

 

Let me explain. If the Government can nearly insure our safety, for example in a Courthouse with multiple armed Officers, then I think it is permissible for the Government to require everyone to disarm. However, in any public place where the Government cannot insure our safety I believe we should be able to carry a concealed weapon there for our personal protection.

I won't have a problem with people carrying where there is alcohol served but not if they plan to drink. I know it's illegal now but talking about if it wasn't. Same with a stadium. I don't want people drinking and being armed but don't have an issue with someone carrying if sober.

Couldn't you say that for most or at least alot of our laws? You make it illegal to carry if you're BA is above a certain limit or have the limit at 0. No different than it being illegal to drive with a BA above .08.

Not really. I could have six beers at a football game, have my gun on me and you'd never know it. Does that mean it isn't illegal? Six beers behind the wheel and you'd definitely know. It's not the same.

So how do drunk drivers kill people? Shouldn't they all be caught before hitting someone? My point is we trust citizens to make responsible decisions. There are laws in place to punish them when they mess up. In your example here, what stops me from carrying inside a football stadium now? If I did you'd never know.
