Trump rolls back Obama climate orders

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if I am an anomole, but I remember talking about climate change and environmental issues when I was in high school. I graduated in 1984. I'm not sure how much longer we need to keep talking and delaying action.

Not trying to be funny but the Earth is some 4.5 billion years old right? I think we should wait and see. 1984 we were taking about Global cooling so...

Heck with the grandchildren.

I never did get that philosophy. Why not be good stewards?

That I agree with Papa, we should be better stewards. Sensibly though. Taxes don't fix a thing.

Just remember if the IPCC models were anywhere near correct we would all be crispy critters by now. There is more CO2 in the atmosphere than they dreamed of. And its not going to stop. And there little or no proof that CO2 is a contributor or driver to any changes. CO2 and higher temps correlate - but correlation is not causation.

We should keep true 'pollutants' out of the air, water and ground. Lead, mercury, sulfur, etc. But CO2 limitation is about controlling the energy industry and creating money from nothing (tax credits/fees/etc.) and trying create a market for supposedly green energy industry - like GEs turbine windmills. Windmills that require much more maintenance than planned, kill lots of birds and have a high death per KWh produced. Follow the money for the current narrative, its easy to do.

Underplayed in all of this is are things people can not make as much money in. Like the threat of plastics to the environment and the large scale deforestation in the Amazon rain forest and other places (note - less rain forest means more CO2 in the atmosphere). There is no big money in these things so they just keep going.

How many of you used a fossil fueled mode of transportation today?

Well I drove today but my wife gets around on an environmentally friendly broomstick.

(just kidding), no I'm not, I think she really does!

I'm a bleeding heart and care more about how poor families can put food on their table as opposed to this issue. No one on either side wants to have a serious conversation on it. So I side with jobs and providing for ones family.

I have no problem with a cleaner environment, that's a win-win for everyone. I do have a problem with how climate change has been politicized for what I think are obvious reasons that have little to do with a cleaner environment.

Me too. Our senior Senator may be the most guilty.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

Was talking with someone yesterday who was planning a biking tour of Montana in the NorthWest area. He was supposed to go mid-May. They called him and said push that back until at least mid-June. There is no way the roads will be clear and passable until into June. I believe he said 33' of snow this season.

They should just build 3000 Arby's in coal country. The war on coal affected very specific areas. Arby's has stores nationwide. The article used 2014 job numbers after 6 years of Obama Regulations.

I look forward to seeing EKY boom again. I am not holding my breath.

Coal was dying before Obama regulations.
