Books About Kentucky High School Basketball

Featured Replies

Jeff Bridgeman's "Kentucky High School Basketball Encyclopedia."

This one has been available at Amazon for about $40. I just now looked it up and prices are over $200. Not sure what that's all about.

Which one of you is messing with us?

If one of you guys has a whole britches leg full of money, go for it. I'm sure Mr. Bridgeman would be tickled pink.

@Mustang are you published yet? I want to know about Kenny Shields???

The Ken Shields book, "Nothing More, Nothing Less, Nothing Else" is completed.

It is in published form with Coach Shields in possession of the "Final Copy" reviewing it one more time before we hit the print button.

Our original plan was to have it completed and published prior to the onset of this just completed high school basketball season. We had sought the help of Terry Boekmker and Rick Meyers to go over our finished product and make some edits. They did, rightfully taking out about half of it. However, we are just now at the publishing stages.

I'm not sure what our plans are. As I said we had hoped to have had it for sale prior to Christmas and during hoops season, and then for sure for the District and Regional tournaments, but missed those deadlines.

Whether we will just go ahead and put it out there for sale now or wait until next fall is a decision that the Coach himself will have to make.

IMO, it is a good read with a lots of history, and I hope, worth the wait.

Thanks for the update. Whenever it comes out, I look forward to reading it.

I just started reading "How Sweet it is".

Good read so far.

I noticed that, too. It is ridiculously expensive online.
