To be honest with everyone, this could go either way. Holmes is fast, athletic, and good enough to pull out a squeaker here, but then again Ryle is also capable of blowing Holmes out.

This is either going to be a close victory for Holmes or a big blow out for Ryle. Haven't decided on a prediction yet. Either way, this game is only close if Holmes wins. If Ryle wins, it will be a blow out, not by a slim margin.

Ryle by three touchdowns.

I refuse to say.

As my man from Hell's Kitchen would say, "Spot On." :thumb: As I said earlier, it all depends on which Holmes team comes to play. They are certainly capabale of beating the Raiders.

Man you guys arent giving my Dawgs any respect I think the defense will show up this will be Thomas Benton 2nd game back after getting hurt and not playing and this kid is a monster at linebacker. I look for Juicy(Justin Trey) to have a big game as well. The Dawgs shifted the running game to the wedge and moved Sharp to Center last week and seemed to move the ball with Covington and DJ well after that adjustment. I look for Holmes to give the Raiders all they want at home no predicition however. This could be the game of the week in NKY.

It has nothing to do with which Holmes team shows up. Ryle has the right attitude, tenacity, strength, and talent to whip Holmes if they play their game. They are outmatched by attitude and physicality.

Don't get me wrong Vogueman, I'd love to see Holmes win, simply to prove a point to nky because like I said earlier, they have the athleticism, speed, and talent to be one of the better nky teams. I know both Justin Young and the Benton kid are monsters on defense and will smack you in the mouth..as well as the o-line. The only problem I've seen with them so far this year is their discipline. They seem to make too many stupid mistakes.

But like I said earlier, if the Holmes team that I know shows up, they will beat the Raiders. I'll have a prediction Thursday as to who I think wins and why.

You are just setting yourself up for "Holmes did not show up", "They shot themselves in the foot", "too many mistakes", excuses, excuses, excuses - that's why Holmes lost. Holmes will absolutely give it their best shot and the best Holmes team possible will show up. The Dawgs know how important the game is just like the Raiders do. If it's your impression after the game that Holmes "did not show up", it will be because Ryle took them out of their game. The better team will win this game....period. Both teams will show up.

Ryle is very pumped its there HOMECOMING!!! extra special game...

Ryle 42-6

Re read my original post. I even stated that IF Holmes wins it would be in a close game and that if Ryle won, it'd be a blow out. I'm not setting myself up for a "Holmes didn't show up and killed themselves w/ mistakes" because I have stated over and over again that I KNOW Ryle is for real and it's going to take a valiant effort by the Dawgs to win this game.

Like you said, "The better team will win this game" and if either team makes mistakes, it's obviously going to be because the other team was better and did what they had to do to win.

What FBstud is trying to say is that Holmes has the ability to play with Ryle. On that point, I'd have to agree. They certainly are talented enough, but they make too many silly mistakes. FBstud is saying if they don't make those mistakes, they could very well find themselves in the ballgame with Ryle. But if they do make the mistakes, he is saying that Ryle will capitalize and the game will be a blowout. Sounds like a compliment towards the Raiders to me. Don't get me wrong, I think the latter(mistakes) will happen, as per my prediction. But Holmes is scary good at times, especially when they don't beat themselves. I am in agreeance with FBstud, this will either be a nailbiter, or a no doubter. Obviously, we all know which one I'm rooting for.

I don't think anyone will dispute that Ryle is a very physical team. But to say that they will "whip" Holmes........I'm not so sure. First, I don't think that Ryle's offense is really going to "whip" anyone this year. Especially at this point and time. It's a ball control offense that grinds it out and wears defenses down, which is fine and very effective. But certainly not going to put up any "whipping" scores. Holmes has some very good athletes, and when they play their game, they aren't chopped liver. Holmes always sneaks up on someone every year that thinks they "outmatch" Holmes in every way. Don't let it happen Raiders!

Holmes has some good players, no doubt. Here's what Fball stud said that I was reacting to:

"But like I said earlier, if the Holmes team that I know shows up, they will beat the Raiders."

So, when Holmes loses, he simply has an excuse: "The Holmes team I know did not show up."

The team that fballstud knows will show up and play their very best. So will Ryle.
