We all argue and give talking points as to why we side with either the Republicans, Democrats or whatever ideology we support. However why are we at this point?

 

1. What prompted a ban?

 

2. Why are Muslims being targeted?

 

3. Why do Muslims want Americans dead? For the PC people why do Radical Islamic Terrorists want us dead?

 

4. Why do we think that refugees will love America? These are not people who necessarily are wanting US citizenship. They are displaced from their home because of war etc. Their mentality and way of life is very much different that what America is built on. What makes anyone think you can put oil and water together?

 

I think we can all, and I really mean both sides, can learn alot here if we discuss this without slant and just facts.

The media and others made this a Muslim ban. Of course, the countries in the ban are predominantly Muslim... Iraq, for example is 60% Muslim...but, the purpose of the TEMPORARY BAN was to allow for the US to improve its vetting process as these were the 7 countries previously identified, and agreed, where terrorism had been sponsored.

Times change, but none of the 19 9/11 hijackers came from any of these countries.

The restrictions on travel are about the current situation. We should have the other countries in the region to take care of these displaced people.

That's true, but if I left this country and spent years getting training in terror tactics in Afghanistan, Pakistan, or Somalia, would it be the U.S. government's fault if I put my training to use? There are Muslims around the world who support terrorists, but the Saudi government has been as reliable an ally as we have had in the Middle East, with the exceptions of Israel and Jordan.

They cant even agree on their own ideology with peace. How could they agree with ours peacefully? They are hundreds of years behind the times comparing it to the Catholics vs Protestants. Yes I know N. Ireland is still feeling the effects.

And the Troubles were more about political ideology than religious. Northern Ireland because of its predominantly protestant population more closely identified with England and became a country independent of the Republic of Ireland. The republicans took exception to that and wanted a unified island.
