June 6, 20179 yr Got a chance to meet Coach Joker Phillips last night at UCATS event. Very impressive guy. Fickell has done a great job bringing in experienced coaches which I am sure has really helped recruiting.

Was committed to Wisconsin, tweeted out an offer from Georgia, and Wisconsin pulled the offer even though he made it very clear he was still 100% committed to Wisconsin.

From Steve Wiltfong of 247 (Don't think it was a VIP story): New Cincinnati quarterback commit Ben Bryant has a chip on his shoulder. He confirmed that he does right after announcing his college plans. That’s as far as the new Bearcat pledge will take it. He took the high road back in May when Wisconsin forced him to reopen the recruiting process because he tweeted an offer from Georgia. Wisconsin’s quality control guy for the offensive side of the ball Jon Budmayr even had the audacity to tell Bryant he was “no longer a good fit.” Nevermind the fact they tried to get Bryant to breakup with them by treating him poorly on visits to Madison following his verbal in December. At the time Bryant said his “dream of being a Badger turned into a nightmare.” The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Bryant is sleeping better now. Along with that chip on his shoulder, he’s fired up to be a Bearcat. When the UC staff heard Bryant was available head coach Luke Fickell and offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock quickly zeroed in on him and less than two months later they have his commitment.
