December 12, 20178 yr UC with a nice pickup last night with WR Alec Pierce out of Glen Ellyn, IL. Very athletic and long wide receiver. I read that Ben Bryant was very instrumental in his commitment.
February 2, 20188 yr Author Been a while since the Pierce commitment...since then UC has signed the following in addition to the others already committed and mentioned: Meechi Harris- 6'2 3* (88 rating) Xenia, OH WR Lorenz Metz- 6'9 3* (85 rating) Germany ATH/DE Myjai Sanders- 6'4 3* (85 rating) Raines, FL DE (Committed after early signing period..hasn't signed yet) Currently sitting at #49 nationally with 2 or 3 spots left to fill.

Originally committed to Oklahoma. 4* CB Jarius Brents is also on an official to UC right now...even though there have been a bunch of crystal balls for him to Louisville. Getting both would give UC a top 40 class.

Getting both would give UC a top 40 class. TT will be a very good college back, bruiser with a flash of speed. If he is cleared the by NCAA, he’s a late gem.

February 6, 20188 yr Author What is a blue shirt? This is the first time I have heard of this. I have heard of red and gray shirts. Basically a loophole to getting around over signing in a class. The blueshirt rule allows schools to put "unrecruited" athletes on scholarship once they arrive on campus, but count them against the next year's scholarship total, as long as they don't play. Here's what it means to be "recruited," according to the NCAA: Was provided an official visit to the campus; Had arranged, in-person, off-campus contact with a coach; or Was sent an NLI or other written scholarship offer. Coaches can contact players and have them on campus for unofficial visits — when the recruits pay their ways — without technically recruiting them. Essentially, as long as a recruit doesn't take an official visit or host one of that school's coaches, he wasn't "recruited" by that school. Meaning: Athlete is not formally recruited, but is put on scholarship at start of freshman practice.
