Sheldon Clark vs. Prestonsburg

Featured Replies

Throw the records out, Prestonsburg will win in a upset 20-14OT over Sheldon Clark at home. Mark that one down.

Due to the terrible tragedy that happened in Martin County last night, the schools were closed and I think SC got to practice, but not forsure.

Good call, xyience, thanks for holding back on that. :thumb: General Discussin would be the place for that conversation, not the high school forums.

Rule 9: No talking about ANY criminal activity (by anyone) in the high school forums. College and pro athletes, that are adults, are fair game in the college and pro forums.

oops...sorry, toots.

I should know better.

Records don't mean anything. So what if SC is 4-0? They know if they go in, and think they'll win becasue of their record, they'll get pummelled. But if they play their hardest, the sky is the limits.

SC didn't get to practice yesterday, due to a terrible tradgedy that happened in Martin County. They have a lot to work on tonight and tommorrow.

These boys have been killing each other the past two weeks, I look for them to come out and play like the SC team they should be.

Let's go Cards!:dancingpa

You never know with this game. A couple of times in the last few years the Cards have pulled off an upset over the Blackcats in this game. I think P'burg is better than their record and if SC doesn't come to play this is one they could definately lose. I am picking the Cards, 32 - 21....pulling away at the end.

If Sheldon Clark gets tripped up in their record this will be a long night for them. But if they focus in it will be a long night for the blackcats.

After watching P-burg play Ashland, I would have to agree. But SC still wins this game big. Belfry, SC, P-burg and Pike County Central will be the 4 teams in the play-offs this season.

i think Shelby Valley makes it instead of Pike County Central

Does anyone know the record between SC vs Pburg for this decade (2000s).

There is still alot of season left, by mad for predicting this early.

The series is lead by the Cards 3 wins to 2 from 2000 to present (they didn't play in 2002).

Whats your breakdown of this contest oneijoe? What does Pburg need to do to beat SC?

This is a "power vs. finesse" kind of game.

If Sheldon Clark keeps the chains moving without turning it over (read: time-of-possession), it's their game.

OTOH, if Prestonsburg continues the improvement its been showing on a week to week basis, it could be a VERY entertaining game.

Prediction:

(Sheldon Clark with >250 yds. rushing AND

Sheldon Clark 42

Prestonsburg 21

(Sheldon Clark with 4 net turnovers)

Sheldon Clark 14

Prestonsburg 24

Overall: Sheldon Clark by 5 1/2
