Glad that game is over - gave me a heart attack.

Cards down most of the game; didn’t take the lead until very late.

Snider with three gigantic 3's late.

Snider struggled at times. Looked like he couldn't move side to side very well yet... but man oh man his shot was there when they needed it most.

Massive game Monday: first half of a home-and-home with 'Cuse.

We looked sloppy for 3/4 of the game. When we went up 8 I thought we had it in the bag, then nearly threw my remote through the tv when we blew the lead.

It was exciting at least.

I also thought he turned down some opportunities to drive.

Mathiang is really playing good ball for the cards.. can't believe how he progress. Mitchell looks like a he's a round draft pick hope he stays another year.. Snider is a good steady player who isn't afraid to take the big shot and is just a winner. Been a fun season so far.

Donovan isn't going anywhere.

Boy, I hope you're right. I think that's the right decision, but we'll see what the evaluators say.

Agree. If you go back and look at the substitution pattern, Rick basically played the last 16:00 with no subs (Mitchell (38 min), Snider (33), Adel (36 - did not start); Johnson (27) & Mathian (32 - did not start)). That was made possible partly by Larranaga having to burn all of his TOs to try to hold off UofL runs.

Pretty sure the reason for shortening the bench that dramatically was on the defensive side of the ball. Miami was carving up the matchup zone in the 1st half. Those 5 are the most athletic & mature to apply intense pressure with all the switching required. King is athletic enough, but doesn't have the experience to fully understand the complexities. Levitch, McMahon, Mahmoud & Spalding struggle with size & quickness if they get switched.

That run when they went up 8 was beautiful to watch. Yum! really sounded / looked rockin'. Disappointing they didn't finish it after the TO, but the did what they needed to and made FT down the stretch, including 2 by JJ, who played very well in the 2nd half (other than a couple of soft moves at the rim which we're all used to by now).

Q was definitely rusty. Game shape and conditioning are 2 different things. He'll be fine over the next few.

Also, the penalty for calling a TO when you don't have any is ridiculous! UofL got 1 FT (which Mitchell missed after Q had just buried 2) and Miami got the ball back with 11 left on the shot clock. Got to be a bigger penalty than that or people will start doing it when trapped. Change of possession needed.

It used to be change of possession. When did that rule change?

Last year. Introduced the one-shot "Class B Technical", after which play simply resumes from the point at which the technical foul was called. At least last year introduced the one-shot technical. I couldn't say when or if the change of possession rule was altered.

This makes me wonder the following:

Does the “penalty” get worse if the team calls a time out AGAIN?

Does the player who called the time out, get charged with a foul?

Edit: if you already read the response I typed here or the response above, ignore it. Now I'm not sure. There's a rule in the Administrative Technicals section of the rules regarding "excessive timeout". I don't know if that applies here or not.
