I'd never (outside of those circumstances) be okay with my wife having one. I agree, IMO it's murder. However, our current laws do not say it's murder. They do not say the unborn child is a person. While I may personally completely disagree with it, I am not a proponent of telling another person they can't make a perfectly legal choice regardless of how much I may disagree with what that decision is.
January 25, 20179 yr I'm an anti abortion guy. Choice is made prior to conception. I'll give you the rape situation since that was not their choice. As for planned suicide, I am totally OK with that. I've seen too many folks suffer. Self harm seems to be a mental issue and should be treated. To the bolded, this is where I sit on the abortion issue. Having a friend who was raped and became pregnant and chose an abortion of that child, I have a different perspective of the troubles. On the suicide note, I am 100% for allowing one to end their own life. After watching my grandmother battle cancer for the fourth time (Passed in 94) even as a younger person Ive felt this way. Watching her suffer through her last year of life was hard. Still hard, the last cognitive thought that my grandmother spoke was to me and my mother in the hospital two days before she passed when she said, " Let me die". You can explain your reasoning, which may not be black-and-white to some, but it's either you agree with it or not. You can't have it both ways. I can decide for myself. I probably don't agree with you, which is fine. It is not black and white to me, as I said. It is not for you or anyone else to tell me which way I can decide or have it. That's a problem I have with some that think they can tell me the way I should think on things. The tough question is if my wife , for instance was on her death bed and told me to inject her or pull the trigger. Would or could I? I probably would want to grant her wish, but I could not do it. I would allow a doctor to.

And the people that say "you're just killing a fetus and it's not a person yet," but how can you kill something that's not alive? To me it is a child... And yet you think a woman has a choice to kill it?

January 25, 20179 yr I think one of the biggest misnomers around is that being pro-choice equates to being pro-abortion. The two are absolutely not even remotely similar.

But good effort in trying to post towards me in a condescending manner about making it easier for me when you're the one who's now taking it in a completely different direction to fit your argument. Those are obviously completely separate issues from the one that we are discussing.

So you base it on legality? So you would have been completely ok with slavery when it was legal in the USA?
