January 24, 20179 yr Maybe I'm just stupid, but I have no clue what you're talking about. I had no idea either until I googled it and I am still not sure if I interpreted it correctly. I think the gist of the article that I read is that Trump is racist.
January 24, 20179 yr I find the following hard to believe and in that I mean, really, how or why can someone feel that scared. I mean do they think Trump is going to start ordering mass executions of blacks? Another candidate said black Americans are now living with “justified fear” of being killed after Donald Trump was elected president. Raymond Buckley, the chairman for the New Hampshire Democratic Party, told a story about how, in the midst of “grieving” on Election Day, he received a call from his black niece, who feared for her life after Trump’s victory. “It’s not just certain parts of the country,” he said. “That fear is all across the country. Now I find this really stupid. If Trump asked them to help him rebuild an inner city where they live and how he needs to do that and what resources they may need. They are basically saying screw Trump and in reality, the people they are elected to help that live where help was going to go. Asked whether they would agree to work with President Trump, the candidates agreed they would never do so, which drew some applause from the otherwise quiet crowd at George Washington University. 1. There are hundreds of thousands of blacks that fear what this Trump takeover means for them as black people. It may not make sense to you but there are black people who fear him. 2. How about he say it, mean it and put some action behind it and if they refuse his help then we can discuss it. For now it is just talk from both sides. Let's not act like Trump had been inviting or shown a desire to do anything for anyone who isn't on his team.

January 24, 20179 yr I had no idea either until I googled it and I am still not sure if I interpreted it correctly. I think the gist of the article that I read is that Trump is racist. You don't have to be racist to use those trappings to appeal to certain voters, which is exactly what I believe he did.

I know I dont know how blacks feel, but still yet I find it hard to think that some blacks really are scared Trump will have them killed. 2. Trump has at least been trying. he has met with several notable blacks such as Steve Harvey, who said he was bashed by black community for meeting with Trump. He has also met with Others and everytime they have said he seemed genuine about helping. It seems when a black person meets with Trump they get bashed by the black community somehow. Stephen A. January 24, 20179 yr My question is this - Are minorities and women basically saying they no longer feel safe in this country unless a person who is a minority or woman is in charge?

The ones that don't want anyone to meet with him are going to be the loudest because agreement is usually a pretty quiet endeavor. I'm sure there are a whole variety of opinions on the matter.

"Law and order" lasted as a political slogan into the 1990s — Bill Clinton invoked it to justify both tougher penalties and community programs
January 24, 20179 yr I read some of it. I took it as white people need to shut up because we (they) me, dont understand how the others of colors feel or think. Which I think is total bullcrap. I don't think it's bullcrap.
