January 21, 20179 yr Years ago , I "axed" in a thread why certain folks say this instead of "ask." To my surprise, the thread got deleted. It's a bit annoying to hear. A comedian once related that one time in a store a guy said to him, "Can I axe you what aisle the Ask body spray is in?"
January 22, 20179 yr Whatever spell check picks. :lol2: As someone who uses spellcheck a whole lot more than 99 percent of the people on board, don't trust it. It will make you look dumb. I do spell check on most everything I do, and I ignore 99 percent of its suggestions. But I'm also great at spelling and grammar.

When I was little, my mom played scrambled words and hangman with me instead of more typical games. And s I've often said, I believe that I may have been toilet-trained at gunpoint, so there's that.
