This week as been in the 80's and the are predicting in the high 60's to low 70's next week. So yes I think it can cool down in 7 days. It really only takes a day for it to cool down.

Finals on my birthday? Fine, as long as Manual makes it...

I think they should start later, and limit the number of teams who make the playoffs to the top 2 in each district, now that they're going to a watered down six class system...

 

If they would eliminate the bye week, move the finals back a week and reduce the number of playoff qualifiers to the top two from each district they could move the start of football games back three weeks from what it is now. It then becomes even more conducive to restrict the start of practices to August 1 and thereby gets teams even further out of the Dog Days...:thumb:

Doesnt anybody get it!!!! They wont move it back because Basketball coach's will complain that it will run into their season. So they will just give football 10 weeks and take the NEEDED BYE WEEK. which will screw everyone up that has been trying to get a 2007 season lined up. WE live in a round state when it comes down to it. :D

The KHSAA is on a roll, and its not a good one. I think they should stop with thier ideas, because the hole they are digging is getting deeper.

 

One week in august isnt going to make ANY difference in the weather, and by moving it back, you're getting way to close to Christmas, and that means vacations, and for some schools, even finals. I think the KHSAA is screwing everything up here recently...IMO

I think you could have 10 weeks to play 10 or have a bye if you want. Also THREE teams make playoffs with 1 seed getting a bye.
