If I'm reading it right, this kid was taking to social media to say he had gotten offers from schools that hadn't given him offers in order to try to build up hype about himself. The college coaches were aware of it, and that's why he ended up at EKU (which appears somewhat un-confirmed) instead of at any of the bigger programs that he was allegedly being recruited by.

That's what I was reading also but didn't want to assume. Didn't the same thing happen a couple years ago and it made national news?

At this point it seems safe to assume this kid definitely is not on scholarship with EKU.

 

No mention of him on signing day or after signing day with their class.

 

Have to think at most he is a Walk-On. Nothing wrong with that.. definitely something to be proud of if true... but I would not think the Glasgow administration would have had a signing day ceremony and gave him the stage for his "announcement" if they knew the recruitment process was being misinformed.

 

Not sure what to make of this except wishing him luck and maybe one day he can earn a scholarship??!?!
