Bardstown ahead of Beechwood and Danville? Can't agree with that at this point.

:thumb: I agree, I realize that Bardstown is good but to rank them ahead of Beechwood and Danville to me is a stretch. Ratings don't mean that much anyway, Just some recognition for the kids and something for all of us "has beens" or "never will be's" to talk about. In Ky. h.s. football you prove it on the field via the playoffs. This ain't the BCS :sssh:

Exactly. Proof is between the white lines!

Good to see Sheldon Clark getting some love... 10th in 2A, this team is going to make alot of noise in November.

This system has been around since the 60s.

Actually, since the mid-1930s. The Litkenhous brothers were mathematics professors at U of L and developed their "difference by score" method of ranking teams. At one point in the 40s and 50s, the Litkenhous system was used to rate high school football in states all across the eastern U.S. Litkenhous ratings were also used to rate college football until 1984. There are websites that track the college football national champions by year, according to the various systems (Williamson, Dickinson, Sagarin, Dunkel, Litkenhous etc).

Does anybody think that a 4a NKY team should be in the top 10? (of 4a of course)

Not a snowballs chance...Come on.....

I guarantee Holmes and Conner won't be ahead of Boone and Dixie in the next few weeks.

I wouldnt get too excited over any Rankings in the Newspaper.
