January 6, 20179 yr I wish there was a small frame gun I liked to carry. I haven't found one yet. I tried the Kimber Solo and didn't like it either. I'll stick with the .45 I guess. Heck, @Bert carries a 10. But he's tall enough to conceal a goose gun. Speaking of which @spindoc, any chance the dentist office can get A longer chair? My legs hang over so far my feet almost touch the ground, lol.
January 6, 20179 yr Again, the 5.7 isn't on my nightstand for a reason though, as I like the larger caliber weapons. Which is why I don't go with the theory of more rounds is always better. My 5.7 came with three 20 round clips, that one gun and two clips laying next to it would go a long way in terms of rounds fired and the scary factor. But in the grand scheme of things, it stays in the safe while the revolvers lay next to the bed. I will say it's a super fun gun to shoot though, other than the price of ammo. The 5.7 is a pricey and nice firearm. My dad just got one, very nice weapon. I've heard the cartels have started using them because they do in fact penetrate body armor.
January 6, 20179 yr Anyone know if the Secret Service still uses the FNH 5.7? Never knew they did. The retired Special Secret Service Agent I know said when he started, they used .40, then went to .357 Sig and now I thought give agents a choice between 9mm and .40. He is old school and still carries a .40 Glock, which one depends on his dress. When he was a body guard for the mayor he had a Glock 22 under his suit jacket. Other times a 23 or 27.

With the right round they will. You won't find the SS190 duty round at your local gun store, but I'm sure the cartels don't have a problem getting it. It is pricey, but I think I got mine for around $1000, today your probably looking at around $1200+. It is a really nice weapon though and I fell in love with it the first time I shot it. I would challenge anyone to find me a more accurate handgun. Ammunition is expensive though so I don't shoot it as often as I would like anymore. I believe there are some other companies other than FNH making ammo for it now though, so those rounds may be a little cheaper for plinking.

Years ago I believe they did. Wikipedia still claims that they do, but I don't always trust Wikipedia. Pretty sure they used the P90 5.7 riffle as well to some capacity. I'll have to do some research and try and sort through the articles that may be accurate.

January 7, 20179 yr Author Anyone shot the .327 Federal magnum? Sweet shooter, really nice ballistics and very little recoil. Only comes in revolver right now.

With more revolvers being sold in .327 Fed Mag, is that round getting any cheaper or more plentiful on shelves? I like the idea of magnum .32 calibre rounds, just expensive.

I don't think it has caught on quiet yet so ammo is probably still expensive but that's just a guess.
