But explain to me why I'm wrong instead of just saying my perspective is stupid and I'm bad for college football. PROVE ME WRONG! I argue with people on here all the time and almost everyone of them tell me why they think my opinion sucks. Call me a hypocrite. I've already admitted several times to the whole community on here than I'm biased towards my team. Until then just keep bashing my opinion without giving support for yours. I back up every opinion I have with some sort of evidence to back it up. You can deny my evidence or provide some other piece of evidence to disprove my opinion, but you blindly assigning dissaproval of my opinion only tells me you have no actual evidence to back up your thoughts. You just go around yelling "Wrong!" at people. That seems to be the proper way to handle things nowadays so at least you are keeping up with the times. :lol:

Carefully chosen, grown specifically for this game over the past 18 months and transported west 60 miles from Fort Meade by police escort on 18 flatbed semis this week is 65,000 square feet of Tifway 419 Bermuda grass, installed by a crew of about 100 immediately after the Outback Bowl ended Monday afternoon.

 

"I have worked on 14 Super Bowl grounds crews, and I see the same dedication and commitment to quality for this College Football Playoff national championship," said Wayne Ward, the turf manager for the Tampa Sports Authority and a busy man this week.

 

The total cost of harvesting and installing the field for Monday's game? $235,000.

Mrs. S and I were coming home from the USF WBB game this evening and were caught by 2 police escorts at the intersection of 30th Street and Busch Blvd. One was an escort for 9 Trailways buses and the other for 7 Champion Bus line buses going west on Busch. We have to go west on Busch to get home, so followed the procession to I-275 where the buses went south on the interstate.

 

I assume the teams were at Busch Gardens for the day and were going back to their hotels. There is nothing else down that way.

All I know is that there were two convoys involving 16 buses. There were a crap load of police cars and motorcycles blocking intersections to allow the buses through the traffic signals unimpeded and clearing the center and right lanes on Busch Blvd. all of the way to I-275. (I don't think I've ever seen the TPD or Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department do that for a group of tour buses from the nursing home.) Each convoy had vehicles trailing that donned flags and decals of Alabama and Clemson.

Dominance in any sport is not good for the sport. Great teams like Duke and Kentucky in college basketball are good for the sport because they don't win every year. I'm also man enough to admit that I wish my team was the one dominating the sport. But they're not so it's bad for the sport. To Bama fans their dominance is awesome to everyone else it makes them disinterested because the outcome seems predetermined.

 

Instead of the rest of the college football world rooting against Bama, maybe they should strive to get better so they can have a legit shot when they play Bama.

I'm curious how well this plan is going to work. I've had plenty of experience installing sod and in general the first couple of weeks after you lay it, there is no way you would be able to run full speed and make a cut or come to a quick stop on it without it wanting to slide with you. Granted I've never installed Bermuda nor done any installations for sports facilities, so maybe they have another way of doing it that is more efficient than how you typically lay a residential lawn.
