LIPTON BASH Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 California police arrest a man for driving under the influence of caffeine – TheBlaze He blew a 0.00% and the LE took him back for a blood test. The only thing they could find was caffeine in his system. Wouldn't a large number of drivers including police fail for caffeine. Also it was an ABC officer who pulled him over for cutting them off not a regular police officer.
LIPTON BASH Posted December 29, 2016 Author Posted December 29, 2016 He will be smiling when he's rich soon I know you can't paint with a broad brush with LE but the ABC has always been an agency I've encountered or heard negative stories about.

LIPTON BASH Posted December 29, 2016 Author Posted December 29, 2016 He was never arrested for being under the influence of caffeine: Was a Man Charged with Driving Under the Influence of Caffeine? : snopes.com I read the entire Snooes post after dragging it out for so long the proper thing to do is to drop all charges. Keeping reckless driving is just saving face at this point.
Fear the Nation Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Simple, this was a guy on a power trip. Big time... Kinda like being arrested and only charged with resisting arrest? Never understood that.

I hate to beat up on Law Enforcement but me too. However, impaired is impaired, they either didn't know which substance to test for or the arrested is a few fries short of a happy meal.

halfback20 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I'm pretty sure with DUI blood tests they need to know, or at least have a good idea what they are looking for when they test it, or they might not find it. There are some synthetic drugs they might not be able to find, but that doesn't mean they weren't under the influence of something. With that said if the person shows signs of impairment on an officers test what do I all want them to do?

halfback20 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 The snopes article says it was an officer with the ATF. Are ABC officers part of the ATF?
