That's a bit simplistic to infer, isn't it? Having just spent about 15 months working with a team to improve our security and meet PCI compliance standards, I know that nothing is "standard" when it comes to hacking. And no security is 100% secure against all attempts and seemingly by the hour, new threats are introduced.

I agree with you in principle. My understanding is both the DNC and RNC recieved identical phising attempts and one security worked the other didn't.

Again I don't disagree with you. The point of this is the fact Russia didn't care who won if they hacked. They wanted panic.

 

My problem has been with reporting linking Trump to Russia. The hysteria is dishonest.

How do we know the RNC wasn't hacked?

Different types of attacks. Correct, the RNC was attempted to be hacked, one long time employee that was no longer in the loop. They tried once didn't succeed and stopped. Many in the DNC and players there. Many attempts made on many individuals. At least call it correctly.

As of now the FBI and the RNC says they weren't. I haven't seen evidence of a unicorn either. So therefore as of now I bleive both are false.

How do we know that the DNC was hacked? If one trusts the FBI in the former case, should one not trust the FBI in the latter instance? I don't trust Obama's heavily politicized federal government in either case, but that is just me.

I don't believe anybody who works for Obama who I do not know personally. Besides, when a headline is a lie, I don't bother reading an article. I avoid wasting a lot of my time by doing so. If the FBI cannot be trusted to bring justice to criminal gang leaders like Hillary Clinton, then it cannot be trusted at all.
