Saturday mainly light rain/showers till afternoon with highs in the ranging from the low 60s west of I-65 to low to mid 50s east of I-75. The temps will fall during the later afternoon or early evening into the high to mid 20s by Sunday morning. The precipitation looks to redevelop as the cold air mass moves in from the northwest. This accumulation looks to be a narrow band along the Ohio River with possible accumulations ranging from a dusting to around .5" from WKY to around Louisville to about 1.5" in the Cincinnati/NKY area by around 7 am ET Sunday morning.

 

The precipitation looks to continue during the day on Sunday. South of the Ohio River will see a slower changer over to snow. Those in this area could see some accumulations of freezing rain/sleet before the turnover to all snow. Freezing rain accumulations of .07-.08" are possible southeast of a line from around Maysville to Bowling Green. Southeast of a line from around Ashland to Glasgow is where most of the heaviest possible accumulations of freezing rain will be. Possible accumulations of .21-.30" of freezing rain/ice from around Paintsville to Somerset. Southeast of this area could be the hardest hit by the freezing rain. Accumulations upwards to around .56" possible from around Williamsburg to Harlan.

 

Total snow accumulations look to be 1-3" where the change over to snow happens more quickly.

 

I will be updating and fine tuning this outlook as we get closer. Those in the area looking to get the most freezing rain accumulations could be experiencing some power outages.

I would hold off on that not being too eventful. Now maybe some freezing rain/drizzle between Louisville and Cincinnati before it changes over to snow. We'll just have to wait and see if that trend continues.

Sorry just saw this. You may experience some light snow showers and for now little or no accumulations. Temps from the high 20s to low 30s. The temps will actually rise through Friday night and any snow will change over to all rain.

I went to Lowes and bought me some tube sand to put in the back of mine. 60lbs bags.

One quick note. On a whim I thought I would check the chance on thunderstorms Saturday. WKY could see some strong thunderstorms. Most of these look to be from the Land Between the Lakes area back westward. These will weaken as the systems moves through Kentucky. I really don't think any of these will be severe.
