November 22, 20169 yr With today being the 53rd anniversary of JFK's assassination it got me watching old videos. This clip from Walter Cronkite where he announces that the POTUS has died is IMO the most iconic news clip ever. [video=youtube;6PXORQE5-CY] When I say "news clip" I mean the video clip of an announcement. Obviously, see video of planes striking the towers is the most memorable video clip.
November 22, 20169 yr I think it is. When he takes his glasses off right after the announcement always chokes me up. I don't know that it means anything, but the gravity of the situation seems to set in right after that.

November 22, 20169 yr could be, but the one on MNF saying John Lennon had been killed was big too. That's a good one, too.:thumb:
November 22, 20169 yr Tough to imagine watching news coverage of a Presidential assasignation it today's world. It would be wild.

I say yes; especially when limiting to a clip from a reporter. Also in the mix - moon landing, Twin Towers, John Lennon death (augmented because it was on Monday Night Football), Challenger explosion, Bronco chase.
November 22, 20169 yr Moon landing was fake, so that can't qualify. Can I say I actually believe the moon landing happened, but yet believe in Chem Trails.
November 22, 20169 yr I was born 18 years after that happened...and yet it's one of probably less than 5 news clips that I can see in my mind when someone references something about the incident. The other big one I can think of is "they're all gone" from the Munich Olympic massacre.
