November 18, 20169 yr My fault. Yes, Trout. No worries. He's putting together a brilliant career on a really mediocre-at-best team. Surprised it wasn't Betts or Altuve in the AL. I'd like to compare all stats. Betts doesn't get my vote because of how good his team is. Same logic applies to KD and Steph in the NBA. Altuve doesn't get my vote because his team is only marginally better than the Angels. Trout doesn't get my vote because I'm not a BBWA member.

I won't lose any sleep over it because they are so close but I would go with Betts over Trout as he won the Triple Crown over Trout and played on a team that won a division.
November 21, 20169 yr Don't necessarily disagree. Still baffled that the writers thought Freddie Freeman was more valuable to the Braves than Votto was to the Reds....Or Arrenado. I get Bryant and Murphy (and to a lesser extent Seager). The other guys, not so much. Maybe the writers realize that Votto pulls value away from the Reds than he brings any too them.
