November 18, 20169 yr Surprised it wasn't Betts or Altuve in the AL. I'd like to compare all stats. Agreed. Both were deserving over Trout IMO.
November 18, 20169 yr Someone please explain to me how rational thought allows for 6 players in the NL to be seen as better than Joey Votto was last year?

November 18, 20169 yr MVP is not necessarily the best player but Valuable. I wish they would give 2 awards. MVP and Best Player. It could be different. Don't necessarily disagree. Still baffled that the writers thought Freddie Freeman was more valuable to the Braves than Votto was to the Reds....Or Arrenado. I get Bryant and Murphy (and to a lesser extent Seager). The other guys, not so much.

Mark Sheldon voted: 1 Bryant 2 Rizzo 3 Seager 4 Murphy 5 Arenado 6 Freeman 7 Votto 8 Goldschmidt 9 Lemahieu 10 Cespesdes He stated he had the toughest time with Votto. His reasons for putting him 7th was his poor defense and base running this year.
