Great matchup, but Whoever plays the best defense wins this matchup. I will take Conner in a close one because I think Conner will throw all over Scott Co

I'll be shocked if Scott County doesn't win this game by 3 or 4 scores. Conner is vastly overrated in my opinion.

Scott Co's Wing-T (if it is run like his very successful uncle, Billy Ross McKee ran at Harrison Co. in the 70's) will be very deceptive with lot's of inside misdirections and rpos. Having not seen Conner, I would suggest their athletic level and defensive intelligence will need to be at its' best to be competitive against the Cardinals. Reference to the strong HC program of the 70's sure dates my opinion.

Scott CO's wing-t is a pain. Very heavy Belly based. All it takes is one slip up and the ball is going to the house. They have the ability to throw when they want. I'd be surprised if SC doesn't win.

Conner will win a low scoring game. NKY is the real deal this year and Conner plays in probably the most competitive district in the state.

No universal terminology in football lol. Belly Keep Pass and belly counter Pass are rough plays to stop. People use the term all the time for everything from waggle and sprint out to where the QB is reading a 2nd or 3rd level defender to hand off or throw. Coach Yeoman had a RPO pop pass back when he was developing the Houston Veer.

 

I didn't know his father coached nor did I know he coached the wing-t. For some reason I though he didn't pick up the wing-t until later in his coaching career.

And for more reason behind my thinking, Newport Catholic from 2A played with Conner and had a legitimate chance of winning. Conner put the game away late.

Yes, defensively Conner is far superior to Cov Cath. They also have a big running back that is hard to take down.
