Good luck to the Tigers and I hope you beat them but the GCL is just a different animal than Ky this year unless your name is T... Beating Cincy St X at Cincy will be a challenge but I am rooting for the Catholics in this one :thumb:

Tigers strength is running ball and stopping run on D. Weakness is secondary and passing game. The Bombers have played a murder schedule so don't see Tigers getting win. They played #1 team in Indiana to very close game. I think there record is like 4-4.

Just get out of the game with no injuries

If this is the mentality, why even play the game? Seriously, why bother? Talk to your AD and say, "Stop the series!"

Good grief. I thought St. Xavier of Louisville was an all boys school...

First off, no idea what schedule has to do with anything. They have played a really hard schedule...so what? Is that going to help them on Friday? No, it won't.

The Bombers are a shell of what they normally are. They have lost 3 in a row and can't do much of anything right. The game being in Cincy will be an advantage as I'm sure it is Senior night.

Defensively, the Bombers allow 337 yds/game: 126 on the ground, 211 in the air.

Offensively, the Bombers are last in the GCL averaging 245 yds/game: 79 on the ground, 166 in the air.

Here are their individual stats: 2016 St. Xavier Bombers

This game has no impact on their playoff chances. By virtue of their ridiculously difficult schedule, they will make the playoffs. Win this game and it's possible they host a 1st round playoff game. Which may not seem like much to you Bluegrass folk but in the Buckeye state, it means an extra day of concession and parking fees. After week 1 of the playoffs, all games are played at a neutral site.

Should be a good game.

Ridder has to be on his game... Lou X can't just line up and run into a brick wall or else it will be along night. Tigers have to be able to keep the Bombers off balance, and be able to get off the field on 3rd down defensively.

This is the mentality of just about every team in Kentucky. Unlike Ohio where every game matters, week 10 in KY is a non-district week. Most teams know where they are playing in the 1st round, so the big task is avoiding big injuries and suspensions. Yeah, you try to win every game but if your star player has a bad ankle and can use a week off to get healthy, then you let them recover for the playoffs.

I think the Tigers will keep the game close, but typically the Cincinnati teams have a few more athletes and are bigger up front, which leaves the Tigers just a little bit short. Ridder will have to be very special for the Tigers for them to win, but the main priority here is to gain confidence heading into the plays.

With that said, the Bombers will be just a bit too much for the traveling Tigers...

Tigers - 17

Bombers - 31
