Beechwood 50 Dayton 0

Nothing pretty about these type of games.

Hang in there Dayton.

Does Beechwood absolutely hate their district games? Running clock every week every year can't help them improve has to get kind of hard to keep team focused.

Dayton just has to keep their heads up, it's been another challenging season, but they have played with more effort the times I've watched them play than they have in some time.

It isn't very entertaining, that's for sure. The only good thing is injured players get the time they need to get healthy. And you get to work out the kinks in areas that need to get better.

The younger players for Beechwood have probably been getting more reps than anyone lately because they are playing in JV competition as well as a good portion of the varsity games. That bodes well for both depth and experience for the future.

Here are the scoring plays from last night's game for Beechwood.

Logan Castleman 2 yard run; Daniel Mescher XP

Elijah McKinney 30 yard INT return for TD; Mescher XP

Brayden Burch to Aiden Justice 34 yards; Mescher XP

Justice 1 yard run; Mescher XP

James Davis 15 yard run; Mescher XP

Burch to Justice 74 yards; Mescher XP

Josh Derry 6 yard run; Noah Howard run for 2 points

This was the first varsity TD for freshman Josh Derry.
