October 28, 20169 yr Not saying this is a good excuse, but I think Calipari also like to try and schedule games in closer proximities to where some of his players are from too. All teams schedule some small schools. I think Cal uses some of those games to help give the payout to his former guys, players or staff. This cant be right, the players are only on the roster for one year???
October 28, 20169 yr This cant be right, the players are only on the roster for one year??? That's the way that he and KSR spin it. We all know that the same areas are hotbeds for other future talent and that's the real reason he tries to schedule games there. But he knows where his commitments are coming from before they set the schedule, so why can't it be accurate?

It's why he likes non-conference neutral site games at Madison Square or the Barclays Center. He likes to get kids from New York and have an excuse to go up there.
