Jumper_Dad Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 On a scale of 4 to 10 (because none have been a 3 or worse), rank these President's on the job they did as President. John Kennedy Lyndon Johnson Richard Nixon Gerald Ford Jimmy Carter Ronald Reagan George H. W. Bush Bill Clinton George Bush Barack Obama Give each a score between 4 and 10, based on their job as President ONLY....feel free to explain your rating but please score each as you see it.

Mitch Rapp Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Sorry, 4 is way to high a score for some U.S. presidents. 9 Ronald Reagan 7 John Kennedy 7 George H. W. Bush 5 Bill Clinton 5 Richard Nixon 5 George Bush 3 Gerald Ford 2 Lyndon Johnson 1 Jimmy Carter 0 Barack Obama

I was hoping people would take this serious and not be "Completely" blinded by politics.

Mitch Rapp Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I disagreeI struggled not to give Obama a grade of -1. If Obama had done nothing other than double the national debt in only 8 years, he would deserve a zero. Jimmy Carter's weak foreign policy was largely responsible for an explosion in global Islamic terrorism. The only reason I gave him a one point edge over Obama is that I credit him for having good intentions, despite his total incompetence. Thousands of Americans and South Vietnamese died because of LBJ's mismanagement of the Vietnam War and his Great Society programs are bankrupting this country and dooming future generations to poverty.

I consider a 5 mediocre and the man who doubled our national debt and sent pallets full of cash as ransom to Iranian terrorists is nowhere near mediocre. A zero may not be politically correct, but it is well deserved.

I hate to tell you but global Islamic terrorism was in play long before Carter and the Iranian Hostage crisis.

ALL Presidents have done covert things that we wouldn't agree on...if you base it solely on that all would deserve at or near a 0.
Mitch Rapp Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I hate to tell you but global Islamic terrorism was in play long before Carter and the Iranian Hostage crisis. That is not news to me, Hatz. The only thing that has kept Islamic terrorism in check over the centuries has been brutal force. Carter's bungling of the Iranian Hostage crisis was taken as a sign of extreme weakness. He also deserves an extremely low rating for his mismanagement of the economy. When I think of Carter, I think of the Iranian hostages' ordeal and the "misery index." In a nutshell, that is his legacy and it warrants a very low rank among American presidents. In modern history, only Obama's decision to send a ransom to Iran in the form of a plane load of cash compares to Carter's acquiescence to Iranian will.

What you should not do is assume that my response is not a serious one. You obviously disagree, but I strongly believe that some presidents left (or will leave) the country in worse shape than when they took the oath of office. Jimmy Carter is one of those presidents and Barack Obama is another one.

Thats what keeping it in check now in Syria or anywhere for that matter. You cant fight someone with words who is willing to strap a bomb and die for their cause.
