mcpapa Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Will any of the scores of Anti-Clinton or Anti-Trump threads that are certain to adorn the site over the course of the next month change your mind? I didn't think so.:lol2:
mcpapa Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 I don't necessarily think that it was a bad decision; especially if we are civil to one another. We're a discussion board and as long as the rules are followed, let's have discussions. I'm just amused at how much time and energy some folks put into it; knowing full well that it won't matter one bit to a single member here.
Bluegrasscard Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Just trying to ensure that people and especially our children will know why there was a Civil War II in the country at this point.
Bluegrasscard Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 ^Never gonna happen. It will hopefully come in the form of civilized revolution. That is what some call it. But people deserve the truth. And the current system - D and R hides a lot of truth.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I'm personally very glad that it's back. Everything on Facebook is pretty much garbage. Most co-workers don't want to discuss anything at the threat of offending someone else in the workplace. It's nice to have a place to read and discuss politics, even people I don't agree with. Is anything going to change my mind and get me to vote for Hillary? Absolutely not. However, I'm personally still very torn on voting for Trump or a 3rd party candidate.
StrongSide Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I love that its back, I enjoy reading actually intelligent people's views from each side on here. You go to Facebook and just read some absolute garbage.

TheDeuce Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 While I don't know who I'm voting for, I have already stated that I'm leaning away from Trump. Whether that means Clinton or 3rd Party, I'm not sure yet. I started the thread asking Trump supporters for their input, because I genuinely was interested in hearing their cases for why Trump should be President. I try to understand every side of things even if I adamantly disagree with it. Apparently though, questioning what goes on with Trump (even while voicing my displeasure for Hillary's transgressions) means I am 100% voting for Hillary to many. There are some here that are open and willing to hear both sides. There are also some here that you might as well be talking to a brick wall.
formerkywrestler Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Worst decision ever. Your amount of posting in this forum seems to contradict that sentiment.

Habib Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I’m at the point where there’s nothing left to discuss. The candidacy of Donald Trump has simply been repugnant. A vote for the man is unconscionable. His ignorance of even the most basic knowledge of government and world affairs, his desire to use the power of the office he seeks to punish his enemies, the revanchist ideas he has elevated to the mainstream, and his apparent admiration for authoritarianism are potentially destructive to our republic unlike any other candidate or event in modern history. My only hope is he is beaten so soundly in November that the scourge of Trumpism is exorcised from our politics entirely. Then, the careers of those who have soullessly hitched themselves to his cause (from Pence to Hannity, et al) are ruined and the Republican Party reorients itself around a series of identifiable policy proposals to provide a viable opposition to Clinton and the Democratic Party – a necessity for a healthy democracy and sorely lacking this election - or is replaced by a party capable of doing it. Clinton’s policy ideas and beliefs ought to have been challenged and she ought to have been brought to electoral account over her insider-style opacity while in public office. Instead, this cretinous egomaniac who is only capable of vomiting out cheap slogans and boorish insults is what the Republican Party has presented as its opposition.
