October 9, 20169 yr Hilton Head is in bad shape. It was hit hard As of yesterday, homeowners were still not allowed in.
October 9, 20169 yr I was happy to hear that my place in Florida had no damage from Matthew! It's about 30 miles west of Stuart and the Atlantic. Was told the electric didn't even go off.
October 9, 20169 yr Talked to a friend of mine in Charlotte, yesterday about 4 PM. He had been without power since 1 PM.
October 9, 20169 yr One of my tailgate partners lives on a farm a couple of miles from the east coast in Palm City, just outside of Stuart and north of Jupiter. From his facebook page around 1 this morning... "Just lost power, still some strong winds from this band. Storm is keeping offshore and moving north so we should be okay in a few hours. Once the storm moves on and the winds die down I can fire up the generators. So far no trees down that I can see from the house." He made it to the game, yesterday. That's about a 3 hour drive. Die hard!!!
