I had the same reaction when reading the same post. Desales beats North Hardin 10 out of 10 games. And I felt the refs were terrible all night particularly on the roughing the kicker call and the personal foul on a clean hit after an interception but all the PI calls were legit. You can't hit guys before the ball gets there or face guard like NH did all night. The NH fans were an interesting bunch also. Enough of that on to CAL!!

 

I'd be curious to see that game played on a neutral field. I highly suspect that game ends up much differently in terms of the final score. But I digress. DeSales whooped up on NH. They were stronger and more technically sound. Testament to good coaching. This was a measuring stick game for NH and they clearly have some ways to go, still.

It's ludicrous that a 6A school blames a drubbing by a 2A school on the officials. If not for a match-up with JTown or Seneca in the first round of the playoffs the Hardin/Meade district would be looking at a playoff shutout. In any other district none of these 3 teams would even smell hosting a playoff game.

 

Don't think I placed blame solely on the officials, please don't mince my words. I think you're smarter than that. I don't think DeSales is better than South Warren, might be as good as. NH had 2 chance to win that game...they laid an egg last night. If you reread my initial post, I believe I gave sufficient love to the colts.

Outcome may be the same, I won't doubt that. But it would be played out differently. We had a backup qb start, also. DeSales is on a different level, that's the thing...they are a Trinity/St. X of 2a. They may not have as many athletes as those 2 schools, but they are as disciplined and play sound TEAM football. That goes a long way. We can agree to disagree...I like debating lol it's more difficult the less objective people are.

Haha aye man, yal earned the bragging rights to talk the trash. I hope it gets renewed as well. DeSales is a good program, and for North to take the next step in the rebuilding, they need to win games against really good completion regardless of their class, I know DeSales isn't just any "little ole 2a school" lol

Nothing big. Believe he sat last night as a cautionary measure because of the game next week.

Was finally able to make it to a NH game. Unfortunately, they hadn't played that way all year. I was very impressed with DeSales' defense!! They made plays all night...that acrobatic pic on the sideline where the kid laid out full extension was pretty ridiculous, should've been on ESPN in all honesty! Your offense was given short field most of the night due to those turnovers...and I'll be quite frank, those refs were awful. There were many drives when NH should've gotten off the field but got hosed by some bad interference calls. I was able to sneak and look at them on video...they were all bad. Most were on plays were DeSales had a loss on the play or it was 3rd and long. They scored on all those drives. Hard to a two opponents at one. You may see it differently though, DD. Your boys flew to the ball and the o line looked very stout against many of our d linemen. NH has to get stronger up front in the off-season.

I thought both sides received a few bogus calls. All in all, I was curious to see how our secondary would play against a good passing game and I really liked the answer. Offensively, the Colts have two things they didn't have last year - ridiculous depth at the skill positions and breakaway speed with more than one guy.

Yals secondary was legit...I was very impressed. The fact that NH couldn't run it with only 5 in the box hurt them.

McCracken's a lock to beat 'em both, but I don't think Muhlenberg, Daviess, Henderson or Ohio would be favorites over Central/North ... at all.

They're not paired with that district in the first round this year. They'll play Ballard, Eastern and Seneca/JTown in the first round. Only one win for this district there. Regardless they are done after round 2. Trinity and Ballard will play for the regional championship.

I know who the pairings changed this year and I think Central Hardin (assuming it beats North and Meade in district) will have a tough time with Ballard. I saw Ballard play Western (before Western fell apart) and was pretty impressed.

 

However, I was referring to you saying this:

Which is why I brought up district 1. D2 (CH-MC-NH) isn't elite this year, but D1 ain't exactly a killer outside of McCracken, either.

Central Hardin nor North Hardin are good 6A teams. North Hardin has feasted on smaller schools and some goid luck. If you've watched them you would know that. This was bound to happen.
