It's been raining a lot this week.. If Bell's field is wet and sloppy I like Bells' chances.. If the field is dry, I'll go with HC......

 

 

The rains have been heavy on Log Mountain. Field never dries out very rapidly. Bobcats always accused of "wetting down the field" with sprinklers, etc....but truth is that it does not drain well! I believe that HC has not played on grass this year??? Could be an edge for the Bobcats who have proven to be real "mudders" in the past!

Should be a good one. Still going with the Blue Devils.

Honestly HC is good but nowere near what they was last year. Pikevilles OLine whipped them real good and that schocked me. They were only up 14-0 on Pikeville at halftime and Pikeville controlled the whole first quarter. HC is skilled and talented but I think the Boyle win is showing of Boyle being down this year. I see Bell giving them a good game. HC season truly does ride on their line. They have some amazing talent and will score on Bell with their speed. But mark it down Bell will control their Dline and have clock eating drives. If Bell can hold onto the football and not make dumb penalties they can win this thing.

Yes they will be. Also even though I feel Bell will run on them I wont go out and say they will win because I havent seen Bell play and HC does have top notch speed.

Have been to Bell County. Let's just say that Henry Clay will certainly be out of their element. Dudley Hilton's style is most effective on a muddy field. Will Henry Clay let that get in their head? When Hilton was at Bourbon, Boyle beat them by 20-something during the season on a dry field. In the playoffs, on a muddy field, Bourbon upset Boyle and played through the rainy playoffs on their way to a state championship. The wet conditions give me hesitation about predicting a HC rout.

Bell Co. loves playing in the slop if that is what you get there on Friday Night.

It looks like it will be at least a little muddy for Friday night's game. This certainly favors Bell County. Also favoring Bell County is their style of play being a tough defense, ball control team with a strong running game. Bell County must attempt to keep Henry Clay's offense off the field.

 

What is a huge advantage for Henry Clay is, their "no-huddle" offense is capable of scoring in bunches. If they get the lead on Bell County, it will be very difficult for Bell County to play catch up. However, both Pikeville and Boyle County dominated the first quarters of those games offensively. Henry Clay can not let that happen again against a quality opponent on the road like the Bobcats of Bell County.

Its the same story with HC every year tons of talent, but they never put it all together and make a good season into a great season. Bell wins in a close one, simply because Dudley will out coach Simpson.

Im sure the field will be in pretty muddy conditions and that will really take away HC's speed. Mudd alot of the tiems will make a more talented team not as talented. I know both teams are playing on the same field but Bell Co. pund it ball control is more suited than HC's speed for this type of weather. My big question is if Bell had trouble holding onto the ball in game 1, how will they fair at hanging onto the ball in the mudd? I think that can determain alot in this game.

Yeah it does rain there but HC is defintley not a team designed for mud. Mud is probably the worst weather they can play in. And Bell may be over their head but I still was overwhelmed by HC's talent like I was last year. Im telling you Bell has a legit shot at this game.
