FarBeyondDriven Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Why no rioting and looting in Tulsa? Or why has it not been covered?
TheDeuce Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Hopefully because people in Tulsa know how to act.
PurplePride92 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I think demographics have more to do with it than anything else.
THE SHERIFF Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Hopefully because people in Tulsa know how to act. I'm guessing here but I'll say North Carolina fans.
Jumper_Dad Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I heard on the radio today that 70% of those arrested in Charlotte were from out of state...I haven't seen an article to verify it yet.
THE SHERIFF Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I heard on the radio today that 70% of those arrested in Charlotte were from out of state...I haven't seen an article to verify it yet. And some Louisville fans.
PurplePride92 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I heard on the radio today that 70% of those arrested in Charlotte were from out of state...I haven't seen an article to verify it yet. I think Clyde posted in the riot thread that 70% were from Charlotte and most didn't have a criminal record. I think he had a link for it.
Clyde Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I heard on the radio today that 70% of those arrested in Charlotte were from out of state...I haven't seen an article to verify it yet. Differing reports. CNN reported what you heard. Charlotte Observer said they looked at the arrest records and found just the opposite i.e. 70% were local.
Clyde Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Charlotte population as compared to Tulsa is A. Bigger B. Younger C. "Blacker" It also seemed like the Tulsa mayor made it very obvious that this didn't look like it was a good shooting and that the city was going to do the right thing. Maybe that plus A,B, and C account for the different reactions.

It's not like either are retirement meccas...I think median age would be very similar. Median Age is less than a year difference...median age of Charlotte is 4 years younger than the state of North Carolina
