Finale tonight. Who wins?

 

I think I'm going Adam. I want Jay, but got a feeling it will be him.

 

It's about time that I finally predicted something right in this season.

I know everyone is jumping on the sympathy train is the only reason that Adam won the game, but I very much disagree with that sentiment.

 

For those of you saying Ken should have won, he didn't make hardly any strategic moves whatsoever. I have been saying that for weeks. Probably a great guy and loyal, but he very much didn't do anything in the game strategy wise until he voted for David at the end.

 

You already know that Adam had Chris' vote. I personally believe that he also would have had Jay's, Bret's and David's as well. Wouldn't shock me if he had one our two others.

 

And in the end, for those of you mad that the sympathy vote won. Be mad at Jay for not letting that out and making sure the sympathy person wasn't there in the end. Would make Jay a butthead, but would have completely changed the game if people knew that ahead of time.

I can't believe the hate for Adam on here. He played a WAY better game than Ken. Ken didn't even play the game. He just happened to align with David. Hell, Hannah played a better game than Ken. I respect the hell out of Ken for sticking to his guns and staying loyal to the end. But the only decent move Ken made was taking Adam. But by taking Adam it looked weak and went back on everything he preached. There were 3 people in the final 6 that could win. Ken was not one of them. Forget everything about Adams mom. Chris was campaigning hard for him BEFORE they found out. Them finding out probably only swayed Davids vote. It would have been 8-1 if he hadn't of told anyone.

 

I am 100% with you. Ken didn't do anything strategy wise. He rode David's coat tails. He wasn't a threat at all to win in my opinion. He was good at challenges and a hard worker. I don't remember who said it, but Ken was built for Survivor 20 something seasons ago. Not now. He didn't do anything but turn on his ally at the very end.

 

I really think David was going to vote for Adam before the sympathy. The person I figured that he probably swayed with the sympathy was Jessica. I bet Sunday was already voting for Adam too.

Agreed. Because he drank beers on a beers? I'm missing what he would have done that was embarrassing.

When you have someone as athletic as Ken, and they are consistently doing well in challenges, but their names never gets brought up as a major threat, that tells you all you need to know about where the jury is voting. The guy that probably won more individual challenges than anyone wasn't considered a threat and also why he wasn't going to win in the end.

If they don't vote the 2 time winner off week one they are stupid!!!

 

She's a master at deflecting attention from herself so we'll see if she's able to do that again. I agree though, they need to be done with her quickly.

The jury was really torqued off at Hannah, her theatrics and flipping turned them off. I think both Adam and Ken made very stupid moves, Ken when he blew up his talk with Will and Adam basically telling all his secrets to someone at one time or another. In the end it hurt Ken more.

Yeah Hannah absolutely proved during the final tribal that she had no business even being in the discussion. She had these grand illusions that she was some sort of mastermind that was making decisions on who went home, when in reality she was just taking marching orders from (first) Zeke and then David. I was glad the jury saw through her ridiculousness.

So the lesson learned by reading everyone's posts here ... it is better to push hard on voting moves even if they are stupid moves and decisions over and over and over, than it is to be low-key on voting moves, do behind the scenes positioning, stay loyal to your alliance and win challenges.

 

I see blasting Ken for voting Dave out as hypocritical. Everyone else is applauded for maneuvering and backstabbing constantly in the game but when he makes one similar move that he felt he had no choice in making to win it counts against him.

Questions for everyone to help me out. What move did Adam make in the game that was a good strategic move that worked out as he planned? How many moves did Adam make that were bad moves? how many times did he work hard to influence a vote and it went in his favor vs votes went in a completely different direction from what he was pushing for?

I think Ken made his moves very early in the game when he was on the bottom in his tribe and formed an alliance. Furthermore, sticking with your alliance in voting is a tough decision too, maybe tougher than flipping constantly. It is strategic to stick with your alliance and be low key. Just because you are changing your votes around doesn't mean it is a more strategic move than choosing to stick with an alliance that is working.

I thought he was a total jerk from the time he was voted off including the way he handled himself at the final Tribal Council. I'm clearly in the minority on that one too though so I'm moving on

He was right though. It was so boneheaded to keep David in the game. I would have been frustrated too.
