General NFL Thoughts From Week 1

Featured Replies

This is the first time in many many year that I actually could see my Jags doing some damage. Very close to pulling one off against one of the better teams in the league. Still a long way to go but getting there.

If you're standing on the sidelines for a football game of any level and you aren't preparing yourself to move out of the way on every single play then one day you will get knocked out like Deebo in Friday. You better be paying attention.

I didn't see anything wrong with the play on Edelman's part.

The Redskins should be fined for not having Josh Norman on Antonio Brown every single play of the game. Last year the Panthers gave us Norman/OBJIII and it was one of the most exciting games of the year. The Redskins robbed us of that entertainment and as a result the organization should be fined at least 250K for this horrible offense.

Running backs don't matter anymore which is a shame. One of the teams that looked the best utilized their RB the best. The Steelers.

This transformation is kind of like the big man becoming extinct in basketball.

I didn't watch the Browns play but the fact that they are being mentioned with the Rams as the worst teams in the league is shameful. I watched the Rams game and they are one of the worst teams I have seen in the NFL in a long long long time. One of those reasons they are so bad is Jeff Fisher. There has to be at least on person in the NFL capable of doing better than Jeff Fisher. It's time to let that retread go to the television booth or to his ranch in the northwestern USA.

He's a horrible coach.

I think trying to stop without using the old guy as a wall would have been the best option or at least wrap the guy up and keep him from getting knocked down like most would have done. But that's just me. Just think lowering shoulder was the 2nd worst thing he could have done, lowering helmet into him would have been worse lol.

Trying to stop and avoid hitting the guy, which in turned injured himself would have been the worst. Which is a very plausible outcome.

Just like I said about the Raiders last year after the Bengals pounded them and people said they were horrible. I think the Rams will show they are a decent team and will end up close to 8 wins.

Dude has to get out of the way. Drop your stuff and skedaddle

Why are there so many people on the sideline in the first place.

I don't know, fc. If that happens I'll have more respect for your football knowledge than pretty much anyone else on this board. If they win 8 games I'm going to need you to give me your phone number so you can help me win money next season. :D

They looked so bad and I'm in the camp that the 49ers aren't a good team. The Rams will have to play the Seahawks and Cardinals twice and the 49ers one more time. I haven't looked at their schedule but I don't see them winning more than one game in their division. I need to look at the rest of their schedule.

I agree with you PP, I don't see how the Rams can win 6 games this year....

Undisciplined team and their best QB is a rookie who is currently 3rd string...

I could end up being dead wrong. However I was right on the Raiders last year, when everyone on here said how horrible they were and were just a bad team. I just don't feel like the Rams are as bad as they seemed yesterday. I very well could end up being completely wrong though lol.

The Rams are horrid. The city of St. Louis has to be cheering.

I didn't watch the Raiders/Bengals game last year but I did see the Rams last night. I haven't seen football that bad in quite a while.

I noticed that the Seahawks struggled with the Dolphins at home in week 1.

Today they lose to the Rams.

The Rams still have yet to score a TD this season. :lol2:
