The only team that gets a moral victory is a team that lacks confidence and/or doesn't believe in themselves. A moral victory means you didn't believe in yourself but you played well enough that you now have more confidence and believe in yourself more. Does Scott County lack confidence? Did they go into the Elder game thinking no way they were good enough to win.? If they left that game with more confidence and belief in themselves, then it was a moral victory.

 

Ummmmm, sorry just can't agree with that statement. Moral victories can be won when a team goes into a contest obviously outmatched personnel wise and shouldn't have much of a chance on paper but play their tails off and leave with a close loss.

 

So, if CAL played Trinity and lost 21-20 you don't think that's a moral victory in a lot of peoples eyes?

No. Elder is down from last year

 

Having a relative as a player for Elder, he even tells me that the Panthers are down this year. Moral victory. I would say no.

 

From what I heard from family who was at the game, almost sounds like Elder won in spite of officiating. I have no specifics, as I was not there, but from the text updates we got, it could have been a much more like last year score but for the officials.

I feel Coach McKee has this program past the point of "moral victories".

Elder is considerably down from last year. The GCL will tear thru them this year. And the GCL is down right now too.
