What in the world happened, how many were ejected for running across the field

Let's all remember Rule #9 when discussing this topic in this forum.

Perhaps, but if there were any charges filed or any criminal activity then it won't be discussed in this forum. It can be moved if that happens, so the warning stands. I'd like to hear details, as long as they're within the parameters of the rules.

Nothing like that as no one was arrested or took to jail, just a fight on the field. Unless you know something that happened after the game that is all it was

The greatest on the field fight was in the 90's between Lloyd and Bellevue when J Brandon was given a hula hoop sized landing zone out of bounds to bring in a last second catch (in the fog!) to move Bellevue out of the playoffs. Even the principle got slugged by a girl!

McClean County. The video is on YouTube from the game, but you'll need to start around the 1 hr and 45 minute mark. I watched the 2nd half on the video. Refs lost complete control. After several plays you can see late hits, most of which were on McClean as well as what appeared to be the same kid not going back to his huddle and talking a lot towards the Crittenden huddle. Just before the fight a Crittenden player lost his helmet and after the whistle a McClean player picked the helmet up and threw it about 10-15 yards. The last straw was McCleans late hit on the Crittenden QB easily 4-5 yards out of bounds on the Crittenden sideline. From my understanding a McClean coach motions for their bench to go towards the Crittenden side, at which point the entire team and coaches cross the field. Crittenden Coaches can clearly be seen trying to keep the Crittenden kids back while McCleans appear to be doing very little of that. McClean had 2 kids ejected, and it should've been more for crossing the field, etc. Whoever the coach of McClean that encouraged them to cross has no business coaching anything at any level.

We don't hear much about them on the end of the state. Is this common for them to play like this? I've known pretty much all of the Crittenden coaches most of my life and know Starnes runs a tight ship. I am sure I'm a little biased but I just didn't see Critttenden initiate any of the dirty plays when I was watching the video. Just playing to the whistle.

Hate seeing things like this happen, and over the years...when things get heated like they did last night; very seldom is it just one sided, let's just go ahead and get that out there; removing any and all bias.

 

I've seen the film, and from what I've seen...especially from the clips on the sideline when all hell broke loose (all be it I've seen much worse), Crittenden is at fault just as much.

 

I haven't seen the YouTube replay (have on Hudl) so I can't answer about a McLean coach encouraging their bench to go over, but you can see a Crittenden assistant coach grab a McLean player by the helmet/facemask and push him away...followed by a McLean player (who was ejected) come over shove a Crittenden player. Other than those two events on that particular instance, it looks to me like both staffs + the refs were doing their parts to get their kids settled down and removed from the situation.

I'm sure in that one scene Crittenden appeared as much at fault, but the vast majority was McClean which seems evident with their 12 penalties for 125 yards to the 5-30 yards on Crittenden.
