I'm not half the tactician Beatty is, and I never will be, but with half the distance to the goal line, I still can't believe he didn't go for the 2 and the win.

 

Side note to that play is we actually lined up to go for 2 but someone saw something they didn't like and we called timeout and sent the extra point team out, what a bizarre ending to a great game.

I was at that game. With that kicker already missing an XP and it only being from a yard out, I would have gone for the win.

Bottom line it ain't that easy to win them all or even the big one. Male has had a lot of talent the past few years and they still do just inexperienced. I think more T fans or just non-Male fans are more disappointed in the fact that Male only has one ring in the past few years. The Male faithful are happy with Coach Wolfe but by no means are we screaming Lombardi. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more prepared coach, talent or no talent than Chris Wolfe.

 

To the other point, both teams acknowledged this is a regular season game. I don't think it was Wolfe who said, "It's not the Super Bowl." I don't expect either team to show too much. These teams know each other very well. It's an early season non district game. It be much different if we're still in the super days but those are long gone, Trinity already received their district champ trophy in the mail.

 

Now, for the purposes of keeping conversation lively... What will be the narrative if T loses tonight? The rain? The refs? Lol
