Looks like Montgomery made the right hire

Heck of a defensive showing from HC, kind of a role switch from last year.

Nice win for the kids in Harrison Co. After stubbing their toe the last couple of weeks...this was a must win game to restore some of their confidence. Still a work in progress however. QB and offensive lines issues galore. Definitely the best they've looked on the defensive side of the ball.

Come on man! I don't even know the guy but I do know it is unreasonable to start this kind of chatter after game 3 in a coaches 1st season!! This is the problem with high school athletics. A guy gets $7,500 a year to coach a team and doesn't even get time to build a program. Give this guy time! From what I remember Montgomery wasn't going to be very good anyway as they lost a ton from last year!

 

Seems like the kids are competing, trying hard, and are not getting blown out!

I would say so. Home game for Montgomery. Their strength is/was Harrison's weakness....inside running game. But once, Harrison stuffed the middle....simply not enough outside speed to take advantage of Harrison stacking the box. New staff at Montgomery...so they're working out the kinks. Give them some time

Only seeing H.C. this season this one shocks me. I know M.C. lost a lot from their 2015 squad, but I would have thought this was a game they should have won.

The numbers are way up , if I'm not mistaken there's no 2 way players, so 22 kids are getting clock. This has to happen if they are ever going to be a 5A contender.

 

The guy didn't take over a powerhouse, I'll give him a few years before I start bashing.

 

They didn't deserve to win last night and played as poorly as you could. If they don't cleanup a few issues, they'll struggle to win many games.

 

Hopefully getting more kids involved will help turning this program around.

I was at Harrison County's game with West Jessamine and looked at the remaining games on HC's schedule and predicted maybe 2 wins all season. I am surprised by this score as I was not impressed by HC in the game at WJ. The offensive line play was lackluster at best although they did have some talent on the edges. Either way, congrats to HC on the win this week and to the MC players and coaches...keep your head held high, brush this game off, and learn from the mistakes because if you dwell on the negative, nothing positive will come out of this result.
