I'm glad you clarified that because it looked like a clean snap and catch. It looked like a 2 point try from the endzone.

I didnt see two stellar defenses. I saw two offenses that are struggling with a lack of identity. Warnock and Conley were both under used. Both teams tried to run the jet and stretch too much. Neither OC let their backfield get into a rythm. Both have a long way to go to get to where they hope to be.

Russell needs improved quarterback play. Other than that they will be fine.

Any thoughts on the biggest play of the game , In the 4th GC bobbled a punt , the punter took off and gained 30-40 yards to set GC up nicely and retain the ball but it was called back on a what looked like a bogus call to me . GC was able to crush a Russell defender out in the flat and the kid got blindsided , they didn't call it a clip , said illegal contact or something, looked like a clean football play to me , kid didn't go up high .

I had a clear view of this play. The official called the correct call. I hate it for GC but it was correct.

If you watched the game, the OLine stood and watched every play. No linemen on the ground, going after a second level defender or staying on a block until the play was over. Very disappointed in this aspect of Russell's game.

This was a very well defensively played game. This hit looked clean to me. I was in a good position to see it. And not having a dog in the fight, I hated to see the call made. That being said, the passing game for both teams need improved. I was surprised Greenup held Conley as low of a rushing performance. Well done to both defenses.

Basically, I feel they are trying to do away with any of these types of hits in football (peel back blocks). Last year and every other year, that hit would have been celebrated and fine. They said the hit was high and in the defenders helmet. I didn't think it was "targeting" and it really didn't look like it was helmet to helmet. I didn't have the best view due to being behind the home team and couldn't see through their players, so I might be wrong.

Its not the blockers fault he didnt see it coming , happened right in front of me to, that call changed the game .

It's a point of emphasis this year (as it was last year) about defenseless players. It was a clean hit but behind the ball carrier/punter. I am old school and hate the rule but that is 2016 football.
