se7ens Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Go see it. Now. Best new movie I have seen in theaters in a few years.
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Have never heard of it and it isn't at the local megaplex. Tell me more.
se7ens Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Have never heard of it and it isn't at the local megaplex. Tell me more. It will be soon. Limited release currently. My brother and I caught it Thursday in Newport. Chris Pine and Ben Foster as west Texas bank robbers. Jeff Bridges as the ranger tracking them. Very realistic and some very relatable and pointed themes about the banking industry. I mean I don't know if you will ever see a more realistic bank robbery movie that also packs this much suspense. My heart wouldn't stop for the last 30-40 minutes. And Jeff Bridges is at his best.
littleluck55 Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Isn't the premise the bank is going to foreclose on their house and they have to make a payment by a certain date come hell or high water? I can't wait to see it.
neilman1234 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I'll have to check this out. Ben Foster is one of the most underrated actors out there. I'll watch anything that he's in.

Every once in a while I'll get stuck in a black hole of movie trailers on YouTube. Now that you mention this one, I think I remember seeing something about it a while back. Are Pine and Foster brothers in the movie?

Absolutely agree. His was absolutely awesome in 3:10 To Yuma. His movie The Messenger with Woody Harrelson is a definite gem as well.

MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Seeing this tomorrow afternoon, @se7ens, you're on the line here!
se7ens Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016 Seeing this tomorrow afternoon, @se7ens, you're on the line here! Movies are a huge part of my life and I've seen a lot of them. I'd stake my reputation on this one. Your heart will be beating out of your chest the last 30-40 minutes. You'll know what I'm talking about when you get there.
Knights Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Best movie I've seen all year. Between this and Star Trek Beyond, my favorite blockbuster of this summer, Pine has jumped up quite a few spots on my favorite movie stars list.
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Liked it...didnt love it. Won't be around long (theater at less than 15 people in it yesterday), so go quickly if you want to see it. Dialogue was solid, first half is a little rough, it does pick up, and the front porch convo the last 5 minutes is good. Pine and Bridges are really good, but overall, I thought the character development was a little lacking. Honestly, it felt like a really good "made-for-TV-movie" movie to me.
Mack The Knife Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 They used to make 'em like this. Like in the Golden Age of Cinema-the 1970's.
Hellbird Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Watched it the other day, reminded me of a No Country for Old Men and The town
Clyde Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Other than my main man MTGL everyone has given this flick a lot of praise.
